Visual Artist

Aaron Belvan is a Syrian-Swedish artist based in Stockholm. He was born in 1990 in Damascus and works in sculpture, painting, installation, and poetry. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Damascus University and earned his Master’s in Fine Arts from Umeå University in 2022.
Aaron’s artistic practice is rooted in exploring human emotion and the complex relationship between the individual and society. His expressive style is clear in his works, often featuring the human figure as a central form to convey vulnerability, resilience, memory, and introspection. Blending various materials and disciplines, Aaron creates powerful visual and spatial experiences that encourage viewers to reconnect with the emotional undercurrents of daily life.
Driven by a deep sensitivity to human feeling, Aaron’s installations and sculptures serve as quiet reflections on identity, displacement, and the unseen forces shaping our lives. His art is a reminder that life is more than a series of obligations; it is also an emotional journey that deserves space, expression, and recognition.
